unwanted mixing of food items is a common occurrence while serving Indian food which has mixed variety of dishes from dry to wet. Wet food also needs to be served in separate bowls which crowd the plate further. Food also spills over as many food items are served during every meal. These issues come in the way of a person enjoying a sumptuous, delicious meal. Many elaborate dishes cooked well and not served properly; kill the effort put in making the meals.

Plate which provides classification and items could be served separately. This would prevent mixing of different items. Also accessories like bowls can be avoided availing more space.

Compartments in plate in form of embossed pots are more usable and apt for a typical Indian “Thali” where we have variety of dishes. Food also doesn’t mix with each other giving enough space and the food particles don’t spillover too. In case of plain plates, separate utensils are required for different dishes, which require extra effort and time for cleaning too. Even embossed pots volume is less to accommodate the dishes. Especially dishes of semi-liquid based are difficult to mix which is solved in case of other option. Bowls can be placed in each compartment if much essential for liquid and semi-food items.

Right on Raj,
I hate being forced to use swiss army knives, that has 20 tools more than what need, but does a below average job at each task because the tools are so packed that it does not do any one job well.
