Electric heating rod comes with a hook or holder which is used to rest the rod on side of the bucket containing water to be heated. When used with a metal bucket it works fine but to heat water in plastic bucket, one need to use some external support to hang it inside the Bucket. This equipment is not provided with proper set of instructions about usage. People tend to use it in potentially dangerous settings.
While handling & using the electric water heating rod, care should be taken. Also the wire has to be insulated properly. The support for heating rod is not provided but it is usually recommended by the shop-keeper on how to use it and how not to use it. Devices like these should be designed considering the safety measures and the context of its use especially considering the Indian scenario. For context, essential factor like material of the container/ bucket with which the rod is used must be considered, for this example.
The rod being an electric device, it basically should not be used with a metal bucket, for safety reasons.
Apart from this, a support is essential for the rod, so it should be in-built.
