Call for paper presentations
We would like to invite you to present a paper or an article on a topic of your choice to share your insights and experiences on how usability of software products, websites, industrial products, fashion accessories, public spaces, information systems and services can be improved through design. Let us know of your availability and interest so as to take this conversation further.
UsabilityMatters.Org (UMO) is holding a conference on usability at Hyderabad on 'World Usability Day' on November 3rd 2005.
UMO is a non-profit organization working towards design awareness and exchange of design sensibilities, is a forum dedicated to discussing, improving and promoting the work of the Usability and Interaction design community in India. The UMO platform is intended to bring renowned usability experts face-to-face with a cross-industry and cross-sectoral audience.
The World Usability Day (WUD) is a world wide self-organized event with the goal to promote the fields of Usability Engineering and User-Centered Design, the theme for this year is "Making it Easy". The conference activities would primarily comprises of:
Exhibition of International Cartoon Contest,
Exhibition of Bad Design Competition,
Sessions on User-Centric Design and Usability Research,
Talks and workshops by experts and
Exhibition of contest entries.
The target audience will consist of students, designers, engineers, other professionals and policy-makers, across corporate bodies, NGOs and the government.

Please send us a short brief on the topic you would like to present. The same would be reviewed and informed to you for the final presentation eligibility. We accept your short briefs till 25th Oct. 2005. Each paper presentation will get a 15 minutes time slot. The presentation co-ordinator will call for a common Q&A session at the end of all paper presentations.
