Hi :-)

It is better to provide a registration from on site, so that viewers can easily register.

Mr. Naresh is right you should give registration form on line. otherwise what is the usability of the site? Basic concept is lost.

Hi Naresh, B Appa Rao,
The call for volunteers was for the world usability day.And since its a limited time-frame event, above post was used to collect data.
This event is already over.
and btw, the participant registrations were infact doene using online forms.

And Now, what you can do is to register the discusion board at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/usabilitymatters/. This is very much online and links given on each page.
Thanks for your considerate comments, hope you can continue contributing.
The post is suitably updated.

When user submits your registration form immediately after clicking show him a note saying "thanks for registration with us ...please check your mail"... something like so he won't be in a dilemma whether registration is complete or not...
