Windows that do not open

Many hotel and office buildings with air-conditioning have large windows that do not open.
Bad Designs
This forces occupants to use air conditioning even when the weather is pleasant outside. Air-conditioning accounts for 10-20 percent of average electricity consumption, so this is not something we can afford to ignore.
