The engine for the TATA Nano is at the rear side of the car.
Bad Designs
There is a huge amount of heat transfer from the engine directly to the body of the car. Also when there is an accident the chances of damage are higher as there is no buffer in this case. For other cars the engine at least acts as a buffer and is safer when compared.
