Have you ever seen this on any street vendor's cart? Its a contraption made up of a plastic container, any plastic container and a cleverly fastened stick. As the wheel moves, the stick hits the container and makes a noise that is specific to that vendor's cart. A poor man's affordable designer signature tune!

This is a perfect example of street-smart design, a cornerstone of Indian mentality of adapting design and innovation through waste material. A makeshift bell in the peddler cart wheel. It works as to catch pedestrian’s attention by making a repeated noise. This design has been done due to the requirement which the user felt while driving. While most of the vehicles come with bell, it is interesting to note that somehow this peddler cart is not given such thought. So end user comes up with his own design and fulfills his requirement. Indeed a good example to show most of the the Indians are designers within.
