The product packaging has been redesigned from the old design which was just a plain cylinder that served very well for a long time.
Bad Designs
The new design expected to be more functional but it showcases a fancy cup like form, which though looks cute, does not solve many functional problems - like ease of opening, spillage and access to powder inside the can.
